Since opening as a small guesthouse by Marianna and Sepp Resch in 1971, the Steineggerhof has continuously evolved – expanded, modernised, and yet always stayed true to its roots. Throughout the hotel, you can feel our deep connection to nature – for example, in the use of local wood that not only smells good but also creates a warm and calming atmosphere. Our house is a place to recharge, breathe deeply, and slow down. Whether you're travelling alone, as a couple, or with your family: here, you can truly switch off and leave everyday life behind.
What matters most to us? Personal connection. Many of our regular guests describe a holiday at the Biohotel Steineggerhof as a holiday with friends – and that’s exactly how it should feel.
Our hotel is peacefully located on the edge of the village and the forest, far from busy roads. In the morning, you won’t be woken by traffic noise, but by birdsong. As a certified BIO HOTEL, we live our values close to nature: in our kitchen, we focus on seasonal and regional ingredients – many of them come straight from our own garden. Herbs, vegetables, and high-quality organic meat from our own farm or from other South Tyrolean organic producers, as well as our creative vegan cuisine, which we’ve specialised in over the past few years, are all part of the experience.
